Boston 311

In August 2015, Mayor Walsh launched Boston 311 to make it easier for residents of Boston to report non-emergencies. Some of these may include graffiti, broken street lights, trash and snow removal issues, code violations and much more. Boston 311 is accessible 24/7 and through various platforms, including phone, mobile app, web and social media (@BOS311). Check it out!

WEST END MUSEUM

The West End Museum is a neighborhood museum dedicated to the collection, preservation and interpretation of the history and culture of the Old West End, prior to its demolition in 1958.

WEST END COMMUNITY CENTER

Through quality programs, collaborative partnerships, and volunteer support, the WECC strives to build and foster a strong sense of urban community and improve the quality of life for residents of all ages in the West End.

WEST END BRANCH OF THE BPL

Library service in the West End neighborhood began on February 8, 1896, when the Old West Church on the corner of Cambridge and Lynde Streets was converted for library use. The branch remained there until its closure in 1960.

OLD WEST CHURCH

The Old West Church aims to celebrate and cherish the richness of diversity in the Body of Christ. They embrace persons of all generations, identities, cultures, capacities and abilities.

ST. JOSEPH’S PARISH

Once described as “the most elegant church in Boston”, St. Joseph’s Parish was erected in 1834 and has since survived urban renewal and continued to serve Boston’s West End and Beacon Hill neighborhoods.

BOSTON SYNAGOGUE

The Boston Synagogue serves the needs of the diverse community of Jews in downtown Boston through holiday events and celebrations, cultural events and other fun and engaging opportunities.
